Called home...

My Grandpa Postma passed away this morning. Though I am sad and will miss him so much, I rejoice that he has been made whole in Heaven. I'm thankful for all the good memories and the legacy he gave to me and my family.

When I told Jackson what happened, he said "Great Grandpa got to go to Heaven. He's so lucky. I wonder what he's doing... probably riding a ride." I reminded him the Heaven is even better than Disney World.

The words of this song bring me comfort...

Our Prayers have all been answered
I finally arrived
The healing that had been delayed
Has now been realized
No one's in a hurry
There's no schedule to keep
We're all enjoying Jesus
Just sitting at His feet

If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm standing tall and whole
If you could see me now
You'd know I've seen His face
If you could see me now
You'd know the pain's erased

You wouldn't want me to ever
leave this place
If you could only see me now

My light and temporary trials
Have worked out for my good
To know it brought Him glory
When I misunderstood
Though we've had our sorrows
They can never compare
What Jesus has in store for us
No language can share

If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm standing tall and whole
If you could see me now
You'd know I've seen His face
If you could see me now
You'd know the pain's erased

If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm standing tall and whole
If you could see me now
You'd know I've seen His face
If you could see me now
You'd know the pain's erased

You wouldn't want me to ever
leave this perfect place
If you could only see me now

If you could see me now
If only you could see me now

These are beautiful words, Katie! I'll be praying for your family during this difficult time but rejoice with you that your Grandpa is with Jesus!

Kate, your words echo my thoughts exactly. And what Jackson said is so very precious. Grandpa will be sorely missed, but I'm glad he's met his maker and been reunited with Grandma!
