America's Roller Coast

This past weekend Dave and I went to Cedar Point with my sister Sara and her husband Chris. We had a blast! The weather was perfect (except for a thirty-minute down-pour) and the lines weren't too long. It was so refreshing to spend a weekend focused on one thing... having FUN! I missed the kids of course, but I must admit, it was nice to take off my "mommy hat" for a couple days and just enjoy being the me I was before having kids.

I was terrified to ride the Top Thrill Dragster. Can you believe that coaster doesn't always make it over the hill? Crazy! But I took the plunge (the 423 foot plunge), and I'm so glad I did! Sara and I rode together, while Dave and Chris waited to ride it in the front seat. I was so proud, I was tempted to buy a T-shirt that said "I survived the Top Thrill Dragster!"

Here's a picture of Dave and I after we survived the Power Tower.

A huge thank-you to Aunt Ju-Ju, Grandpa and Grandma Pohler, and Grandpa and Grandma Z for taking such good care of Jackson and Haley. Something tells me they were too busy having fun to miss mom and dad.

Ride on!

Awesome! I keep telling Steve that we need to go to Cedar Point together. I'm glad you had good weather and didn't have very long lines! It is important to go out with just your hubby every now and then.
