We went to the zoo this week. That's not unusual for us. We've gone to the zoo several times this month (we get in free during the month of August thanks to our membership at the Children's Museum). But this time was different; this time was special. This time daddy came along, and everything just seems that much better with daddy. He's our secret ingredient for extra fun.
I know that the kids loved having daddy along on our zoo adventure, but I think mommy liked it more. I liked the conversation, I liked being together as a family, I REALLY liked the extra help with the kids. Man-to-man parenting (A.K.A. one parent per child) is just so much easier than being double teamed.
