5 Ingredients or less...

I recently found out about this awesome cookbook, 5 Ingredients or Less: Fresh Recipes for Every Season (Thanks Tami!). I am certainly not an Iron Chef (my husband is the Top Chef in our household), so the recipes featured in this book are right up my alley!

Last night I hosted a get-together at my house. What's a party without a good dessert? I made the Easy Apple Dessert from the cookbook, and it was a big success. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it. If you want to make an easy, affordable, tasty dessert, you might want to give this one a try.

Ingredients:
4-6 apples - cored, peeled, and chopped
1 cup sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 cup butter, melted and divided
18.4 oz pkg. of yellow cake mix

Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup butter (melted) in an ungreased glass 13X9 baking dish. Sprinkle on cake mix, and drizzle remaining butter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

If you are feeling daring and want to add a sixth ingredient, add my secret weapon... some caramel on top!

Enjoy!
