Happy Birthday Haley!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! Words can't describe the love we have for you. Two years ago today, God blessed us with the most wonderful, life-changing gift... you! You have brought so much joy to our family, and we love you so much Haley Brooke!

There are so many things I could write about - your beauty, your brains, your heart of gold, your sweet spirit - but the thing that is on my heart today is your gift of song. You absolutely love to sing, and you have the voice of a little angel. As I type this, I can hear you singing yourself to sleep. Your choice of song: Angels We Have Heard on High. You don't care that Christmas is over. You sing in the car, in your crib, in the shopping cart. Your songs bring smiles to those around you, but they also bring smiles to the heart and face of your Savior.

Keep singing, Dear One. Don't forget that your Heavenly Father loves to hear the praises from you, his precious child. Whether your singing future leads you to stages in front of large crowds, or only to your shower... remember that the gift of song is from God, and He is your true Audience of One.

So as you blow out your candles and make a wish, your mommy has a few wishes for you too. I pray that as you grow physically, you also grow in the knowledge and love of God, always remembering that His ways are the best ways. Always remember that daddy and me love you - not because of what you do - but because of who (and whose) you are. God made you special Haley; you are a masterpiece, a true one-of-a-kind. He has big plans for you, and I can't wait to see what they are! But for now, I will hold you, and cuddle you, and read to you, and enjoy you, my sweet, talkative, adorable, Super-Why-loving two-year-old.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
