Life Lately....

Here are a few tidbits from our lives recently...

*** Dave and I did our first 5K run, and it went really well. We accomplished our goal of jogging the whole thing. We are considering doing a 10K someday (gasp!). It sure felt good to cross that finish line, and it was fun to enjoy the morning with the rest of Dave's family.

*** Dave's grandma's health is declining quickly, and unless God has a different plan, she probably doesn't have much longer to live. Please pray for Honeygram and the rest of the family during this difficult time.

*** Jackson is enjoying playing AYSO soccer on Tuesday nights, and we love watching him. Nobody plays any sort of position, and there really are no rules... it's all about having fun! Jackson may not have the strongest foot on the field, but he certainly has the biggest smile!

*** Jackson is wrapping up his last year of preschool, and anxiously awaits going to Kindergarten. This Thursday, he has his last field trip of the school year, and he invited Grandpa P. to join him. They are going to ride the train in Coopersville. Jackson can't wait... and I think Grandpa's pretty excited too. After a lot of prayer and discussion, Dave and I have decided that Jackson will be going to full day Kindergarten next year at Jenison Christian. It's going to be a big adjustment having Jackson gone all day, but we know that he is going to thrive! It's sure hard to let them go though, isn't it?

*** We look forward to a wonderful summer! We already have plans to go to Cedar Point (just mom and dad), Michigan's Adventure, and on a little camping trip. And we know we will have tons of fun swimming, going to parks, and just hanging out. Plus baby Lauryn will be spending Tuesdays with us, which will add to our excitement.

*** Haley seems like such a big girl these days. She loves puzzles, singing, and swinging. She is just as sweet and lovable as she's always been, with just enough feistiness to keep things interesting. :)

Well, I guess that's it for now. Hope life finds you happy and smiling!
