Happy Birthday Dave!

Sending a big Happy Birthday to my favorite 29-year-old!

We’ve come a long way together! In some ways I feel that the sunrise years are over and we're moving on to the noon-time years of our life. Those early years sure were fun weren’t they? Dates, proms, taking college classes together, planning our wedding together, being D.I.N.K.s (duel-income, no kids), building our house... memories galore.

But I don’t think I’ve ever felt as blessed as I do right now. Sometimes when I look at Jackson and Haley, tears of gratitude come to my eyes. They are just so wonderful! And though I know sometimes my love and care for them consumes my daily life, I’ll always remember that my love for them all started with my love for you. The day will come when they are grown and gone, and you will still be here with me... my best friend, my partner, my teammate.

Let’s live these years so that we have a lot to smile about when those twilight years come. We can sit on our porch swing and talk and laugh about days gone by. When we are living the sunset years, our bodies will be weak, but our love will be strong. Let's make sure to enjoy every season we have together, OK?
