A lesson learned...

We’ve all been there.

Maybe our potty trained toddler who hasn’t had an accident in months wets his pants at the family reunion.

Or maybe our sweet girl who has been singing the church choir song around the house constantly, gets up on stage and doesn’t sing a word.

Or maybe our precious little angel decides to yell out some embarrassing words during the candlelight Christmas Eve service at church.

Whatever the details may be, all parents will learn the same lesson at one point or another (or maybe a million times over)... you can’t always make your kids do what you want them to do.

Sara and Chris learned that lesson today. Today they wanted to find out the gender of their baby, and Peanut had other plans... plans that involved modesty.

Sara and Chris - good (soon-to-be) parents that they are - took things in stride. They may have another ultrasound down the road to check Sara’s fluid levels. Hopefully Peanut will cooperate better next time.

And I’m still dying to find out if I’m going to have a niece or a nephew.
